Summer Plans

Summer Plans

With Summer quickly approaching, it’s no secret that many of us are trying to figure out how we want to spend it. Summer is meant to be a time to take a break and prepare for the next school year, but it’s also a great time to gain job experience, volunteer, and spend time doing what you love. If you’re looking forward to having some time off, but you’re not exactly sure how you want to spend it, click here!

A Typical Day at Mississippi College

A Typical Day at Mississippi College

You wake up to a blaring alarm at 7:30 AM. Staring blankly at the ceiling, you ask yourself why you decided to stay up watching Netflix until 2 AM last night. As you contemplate your life decisions, slowly you fall back asleep, only to be woken up 15 minutes by your snooze alarm. It's 7:45! You have class in 15 minutes!

Why Visit MC?

Why Visit MC?

Mississippi College is a pretty fantastic place. With a gorgeous campus, vibrant student life, & professors who know both your name & your face, it's certainly worth considering in your college search. Located right outside of the state's capital city of Jackson, MC is situated right in the middle of the state. Also at just an exit & an intersection off of I-20, it's perfectly accessible. Unless your GPS terribly malfunctions, there's no chance of getting lost when you're on your way to Mississippi College! So then, what's stopping you? If you have any more doubt in your mind about why you shouldn't hop in your car to check out this place, let me give you a few more reasons why Mississippi College's campus is worth your visit.

A Collection of MC Memories

A Collection of MC Memories

As the semester is ending and graduation is fast approaching, another class of seniors is about to graduate. We will be leaving with a diploma and our own set of experiences that we collected during our time here, and today, I want to share some of those experiences. The stories that follow come from a handful of seniors that were kind enough to share one or two of their favorite memories from their time at MC. And, as everyone's MC experience is different, these stories are as diverse as the students that shared them.

The Last One: A Senior's Perspective

The Last One: A Senior's Perspective

I graduate college in close to thirty days, which is both exciting and terrifying. It's cliche, but it's seriously so hard for me to believe that I'm a senior. I feel like I went to orientation last month, or even just declared my major a few weeks ago. But yet, here I am, sitting in the library working on my capstone project. I've learned that the life of a senior is really different from that of an underclassmen, but it's not something that's talked about very often. Today, I want to invite you guys into the life of a senior, because, whether you're about to graduate high school or finish your sophomore year, you'll be here one day, and I want to give you an idea of what it's like.

When Home is Far Away

When Home is Far Away

Here I am, not unlike hundreds of other people here on MC's campus, at a school hundreds of miles away from where I live. I wouldn't trade it for the world, namely because I know that I am exactly where I am meant to be, but there are times that it gets hard being so far from home.
