Summer Break

Summer Reading List

Summer Reading List

In a few months, students will flood the campus of Mississippi College, bringing distinct perspectives and life experiences with them. College provides one of the best opportunities for you to expand your mind through classes and the different people you encounter. It's exciting, growing, and sometimes, a bit shocking and frustrating. The truth is, though, that you can encounter different minds without leaving your room. Reading provides us with a way to step into others shoes, explore lands we've never seen, and think thoughts we would have never contemplated. Do yourself a favor and read something this summer. If you don't have any ideas, we've thought of a few based on your interests.

Summer Scenes

Summer Scenes

Summer is months away, and I am craving the bright sun and long days. When I was a child, summer meant school was out of session, leaving plenty of time for vacation, camp, sleepovers, and movie marathons. As I've aged, summer has become a short window to explore the world and to take on new challenges.

Welcome Back!

Welcome Back!

Greetings Choctawk readers! For the past few months, I have walked up the many stairs of the tower in silence. A quiet lingered.  It was the same quiet that hung over the whole of campus.Today as I trekked up the many steps though, it was different.

Summer Tourin'

Summer Tourin'

Friends, Choctawk-readers, countrymen, lend me your eyes! Nolie here, and I have come to this hallowed keyboard to make a great proclamation! Ahem...drum roll please!

Throwback Thursday: Orientation in Pictures

Throwback Thursday: Orientation in Pictures

Our first two orientations have come and gone. The quiet of summer that had settled over campus lifted with the busyness, excitement, and fun of orientation. We loved having our future Choctaws on campus , and so we are throwing it back to last week! Here are some of our highlights!

Live It Up: The Last Summer Before College

Live It Up: The Last Summer Before College

Greetings friends. Nolie here! School is out, and summertime is here! However, from personal experience, the summer after senior year is strange. High school is finished. College hasn't begun, and so you wait..

Go Week

Go Week

Hey future Choctaws, it's Andrew with a blog about Go Week! Go Week isn't some cheesy type of fitness campaign or push for students to jump up and join a club or sign another petition. Rather, it is a time set apart to underscore the pre-existing movement of service and provide outlets for MC students to partner with organizations of similar passions.
