Mr. Christopher Smith is an instructor who teaches Financial and Economic classes, but what he teaches about life goes far beyond the world of business.
For Dr. Meadors, engaging in "the great conversation" of philosophy is key to living a fulfilling life. "Students should study philosophy because the world is a many-splendored thing, a beautiful gift from God in its dizzying variety and scope. A careful study of philosophy renders the world more richly hued and more sharply focused," he explains.
"I promise I'm not making any of this up" is Steve Cook's catch phrase. This semester, I've had the honor of finally having Mr. Cook for a class, Drawing III, and I have already heard that sentence uttered dozens of times. That's because Mr. Cook, a professor in the Art Department, is full of wildly interesting and unbelievable stories that fascinate his students. An instructor in printmaking, drawing, aesthetics, and painting here at MC, Mr. Cook has led an adventurous life, impacting many.
