It's been almost a week since alumni and current students came together to celebrate Homecoming. A lot of exciting events, competitions, and traditions happen during this week, which you definitely know about if you've been reading the blog. We know that you're just dying to know who won Follies and the Tailgate, so here's an overview about what went down during Homecoming Week.
We've all heard that MC is like home away from home, and each year, the alumni COME back HOME for... HOMECOMING. I'm sure you didn't see that coming. Anyways, here at MC, Homecoming Week is an extremely special time, full of tradition and celebration. If you're new to the MC Bubble, you're probably wondering why certain things have been happening, and the answer is tradition.
One of the most anticipated events of the Fall semester is almost here. Every year the pledges/associates of the different clubs and tribes perform a ten minute skit. On Thursday night, MC students can watch Follies for free, but on Friday night, the general public and the judges will fill Swor. After that final performance, the results will be announced. In honor of Follies approaching, let's throw it back to last year!
Ali here, and I would like to welcome you to one of THE busiest weeks on MC's campus: Homecoming. Homecoming week is jam packed with lots of fun activities and traditions, but the best thing about homecoming is how it all comes together. Behind all the magic and madness are fourteen hard working students, myself included! I have loved every second of preparing for one of the most known and loved weeks at Mississippi College.
We've got a busy weekend ahead of us here at MC! That's because it's Homecoming Weekend!
