Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color? Sorry, it's actually Nolie here, and I get a little carried away when it comes to.... CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday. I love everything about it! If you walk into my dorm room post-Thanksgiving then you will come to that realization quite quickly. I may or may not have put a three foot tree complete with lights in my dorm room last year. There may have also been paper snowflakes hanging around the room. And the scent of vanilla, sugar cookies, and gingerbread? That was merely coincidental.

Take note of the Christmas tree in the top right corner.

So it's not surprising that I am euphoric, elated, exhilarated, exuberant, one could even say excited that Christmas is upon us!

Such excitement! Hip Hip Hooray for Christmas!!!

But what if Christmas cheer doesn't come easily for you, or maybe you can't get enough of Christmas like me? Well, I will give you the words of a man who has reached the pinnacle of Christmas Cheer. As Buddy the Elf so eloquently stated...

Break out the Christmas tunes! If you need some suggestions, check out this blog by Ashton and  Liz!

Still need some more Christmas Spirit?

1. Try making a gingerbread house!

2. Or you could bake some cookies!! Make a ton and give them to your friends!

3. Maybe drink some apple cider or hot chocolate (or a Chick-fil-A peppermint chocolate milkshake)

4. Spend some time with the people you love!

Honestly though, decorating, singing,  holiday food, and even friends and family are great things about Christmas, but they aren't the REASON to be excited about Christmas. If for no other reason, I pray that we will be excited about Christmas because Christmas means that the King of kings humbly came down from Heaven to be born in a manger.

He did this knowing that He would suffer a horrible death and take on our sin so that we could be blameless and holy in His sight. That is the reason for Christmas, and we should be excited to celebrate Jesus's sacrificial love!

Merry Christmas!

Nolie, the Christmas Addict
