Let’s be real, one of the best parts of coworking is all of the perks. From ping pong boardrooms and bottomless coffee to treadmill desks (yes, these really do exist), networking events, and the high-speed wifi of your dreams– getting a coworking membership will undoubtedly be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made.
Hey guys! Megan Kaye back again, here to continue our conversation about one of my favorite things in the whole entire world: Coworking! Last month, I explained what this coworking thing is, why it matters to all of us, and how it’s giving community to millions of professionals around the world (myself included!). I consider a few different places to be my “home:” where my wife and I currently live, my hometown where my parents live, and Mississippi College. When I travel back to Clinton, I still feel the rush of excitement when I pull up to the red light on Springridge road and see the beautiful campus rise across the horizon. When I see Mississippi College, I see a place that I still consider home. I might live in Nashville, but a huge part of my heart is still at MC.
For those of you who know me, you know that I’ve always been a pretty free-spirited individual; because of that, I absolutely dreaded the thought of working all day in a dull and fluorescent office environment for the majority of the rest of my life. I majored in Public Relations (shoutout to the Comm. Department!) in hopes that I could at least work somewhere high-energy and fast-paced to make being in an office a little less vanilla. Regardless, I spent so much of my time in college worrying about how I was going to survive in the “real world,” because I felt like I wasn’t made to fit in the boxes I assumed I would be shoved in after graduation.
