I hope you are excited to start a new season in your life. The next few weeks will be a blur, and you will probably feel more emotions than a human being should at one time. Event after event, new faces, more names to learn (it's okay if you forget someone's name, but extend grace to those who forget yours), and a little thing called classes will demand all your time and energy. It is exhilarating and exhausting.
However, this initial rush will eventually settle down, and over the next few years, you will grow and become a different person than the person reading this now. You'll make friends. You'll get involved on campus . You'll take challenging classes. All of those things will mold you into a more complex and, hopefully, if you're seeking the Lord, more Christ-like person.
Moving to MC on Saturday is the start of a new season for you! It's exciting, scary, and a bit sad. It's okay if you are so excited that it is taking all your strength to not jump in the car right now and drive to Clinton, Mississippi. It's also okay that your heart aches at the thought of leaving home, or if you are like me, it's okay to feel both of those things simultaneously. Although it is confusing for you and everyone who comes in contact with you, it is perfectly normal.
