Oh the Pages You'll Read!

Hey friends! It's Elizabeth, speaking on an event of which I am passionate.

The opening of the annual book bazaar! Do you like books, thrifting, wild squirrels, old records? Well, come by Alumni Gym within the next couple of days! MC's Leland Speed Library sponsors a huge used-book sale each year, and it's finally arrived.

My fellow Choctawker, English major, and life-friend Nolie Ramsey joined me as we fangirl-ed our way through thousands of books. We have a plethora of photo evidence from our book bazaar experience. Come check it out!

We were welcomed by these nice people and lovely flower arrangement. They made sure we knew to enter the drawing for an Amazon giftcard. There is a separate drawing each day, and you can enter your name everyday!
We immediately went to the Literature section because..well..nerds.

PSA: One does not need to be an English major/Literature nerd to appreciate the Book Bazaar!
Being pensive.

Being pensive.

Just have fun with it!
There's genres here for everyone's enjoyment!
There's even music and movies!
You never know what gems you might uncover...
And just to show you how vast is the selection... BAM. Books everywhere.
Feel free to play a game of hide and seek during your exploration.
I found Nolie.

I found Nolie.

And bonus points to anyone who catches the squirrel running across the wall (PS: This situation is completely under control, so don't worry)

Don't forget to check out the Silent Auction, where you can bid on classics and vintage selections.
They've got great prices too!
And don't forget to smell some old books while you're at it :)

Well, now that you all know JUST how much of a nerd I am, I hope I've convinced you that the Book Bazaar is worth a visit!

It'll be open today and tomorrow, October 10-11, from 9am-5pm in Alumni Gym.

Stop by, enter your name for the Amazon drawing, and pick up a few good books that you'll enjoy.

If this is you afterward... it's okay:

Also, this...

Happy Book Bazaaring!
